Pelvic pain might be referred from the back and viceversa. It is also common for women to have pelvic and pubic pain during and following pregnancy. Physiotherapy treatment is important to retrain muscles of the pelvic floor and deep abdominal wall, as well as postural spinal muscles and gluteal muscles, in order to maintain a stable, pain free pelvis. Other types of pelvic pain are also treated by physiotherapists.
